Endocrine Society HQ receives green certification, wins award The Endocrine Society's new offices in Washington, D.C., have received "gold" certification under the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED program, which ranks building design on environmental friendliness. Gold is the second-highest certification obtainable under the program, with only "platinum" ranking higher. The society's headquarters at 2055 L St. NW was designed to weed out construction materials disruptive to reproductive and other endocrine systems.
